Herndon ES Bees are Back in the Hive!

Almost a year later, our Bees are back in the hive! In the 3rd and 4th quarters, we welcomed our students back to school either for in-person learning or SOL testing. Staff got vaccinated, hand sanitizing stations were set up throughout the school, and wearing a mask and social distancing were the new norms. Virtual, concurrent, and in-person learning were going on simultaneously. There were appreciation days, PTA events, 100th day celebration, our 24th Annual Career Day, vegetable gardens were planted, the 17 year cicadas made their appearance, and most importantly, creative learning in the most inventive ways. Our "HES Strong" hive keeps working hard and never stopped buzzing.
